'43: odd. Looks like a '41/'42, and I had thought production was shut down mid'42 to '45 except for military and "needed" orders. This one may be a special one (government) - or it was a '42 that wasn't titled until '43, which would also be unusual.

If its been a NV car I wouldnt be surprised, our DMV used to do some stupid stuff like that all the time. My 1980 Yamaha is titled as a 1979 because it was originally registered in 1979, even though it was a 1980 model year...

I've gone on '49 Caddy/ '49 Pontiac fastback binges before, which is why I asked - I definitely see the attraction. Fastback and fins before they were cool - it's like impractical design feature hipsterism.

Many states issued titles by year of issue, irrespective of model year, up until the emissions requirements by model year and other factors started making that more idiotic than it already was.

Regardless, some type of snafu or weirdness has led to that Buick being a "'43" (assuming that's what the title says), which makes it very interesting.
